Dear
Friends,
How wonderful to be
entering into the spring equinox this month. After a long cold
winter, and an even longer period of introspective healing and
clearing out our energetic hindrances, we can now emerge
refreshed and anew along with the budding of the trees and
spring tulips (my favorites).
By numerology, 2008 is a 1 year - a
new beginning. So
this year, the spring equinox seems to have a
particular importance. As we celebrate the balance
of the light and dark and Easter, we too are in the midst of transitioning into greater balance
and a new beginning.
Several aspects of us will start coming into balance;
the masculine and feminine energies, our light and dark
aspects of being, the physical and spiritual aspects of
existence. This
balance is important as we eliminate duality and
become integrated into the oneness of the
universe... Heaven on Earth.
I have been coaching many folks on this
transition. Many
of us, myself included, have become masters of the masculine
energy; making things happen, taking care of all the details,
giving it all you've got, doing, doing, doing. The energy of the
Earth has supported this way of being. Now the tables are
turning.
EEEK. To
be successful, we now have to balance this energy with the
re-emergence of the divine feminine. This energy is
receiving, receiving, receiving. What does that
mean? That was my
question too. The
answer I received from my guides was described as a pregnancy;
we must first receive, then nurture, grow and develop and then
give back. This
applies to work, family, service, community, intimacy and all
our relations and responsibilities. This sets up a
co-creation with our fellow humans vs. co-dependency. This exchange allows
for each of us to better receive and give with each other,
which allows each of our puzzle pieces to come together with
greater grace and ease in putting the big picture
together.
Many folks on the spiritual path are
seeking "the light".
And in that trek, some fail to reconcile with
their shadow aspects.
Remember that the earth is only half light, thus half
dark, at any given time.
We are no different. We judge our shadows
harshly. We fear
them. I can tell
you it is impossible to know who you are until you confront
your shadows to get to know all aspects of you. I have found it to be
extremely freeing. I was holding on to
such fear that I had the capability of being too powerful, too
egotistical, too destructive and even to light. When I allowed myself
to explore those aspects of me, I realized that it was my fear
of letting these things get out of control that was limiting,
egotistical and destructive. How ironic. I now know where my
limitations are, what circumstances promote my getting
emotionally triggered and out of control. And I am more in
control now than ever before. We cannot be whole
without first knowing the totality of who we are and how we
operate. No one
can tell you this, no one has the same constructs as you, you
must discover this through your own explorations. It helps to have
really great and honest friends and of course a really great
healing coach!
When we discover
the totality of who we are, we can discover the totality of
the oneness, of god that resides in each us, that makes up the
wholeness of our universe. We then lose judgment,
gain compassion and stand strong in our physical existence
with the unconditional love of the universe, as our guide in
becoming one with our physical, energetic and spiritual
environment.
Let the beauty of
your complete unfolding happen along with the emergence of the
beauty of nature this spring.
Enjoy.
With love,
Carolyn Dunow
